The Attitude Era was one of the most popular and arguably the most entertaining era in the history of WWF/E.
One thing about the era that stood out was its storylines and characters. Those were the main things which made wrestlers popular instead of the actual wrestling in the ring.
One active wrestler whose character people love and many compare to legends like The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin is LA Knight.
However, some people are of the opinion that there is no originality in the LA Knight character, and it’s just a rip off of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Speaking to Inside The Ropes, LA Knight admitted that he’s influenced by many things, all of which combine to make up his character.
He specifically named WWE Hall Of Famer Jake “The Snake” Roberts as a wrestler who has inspired him.
Below is what The Mega Star said:
“I’m influenced by them, I’m influenced by Jake ‘The Snake’ … I’m influenced by music, I’m influenced by actors, so at the end of the day, yeah, all that stuff’s in there.
At the end of the day, it’s a conglomeration, you put that all together you got yourself LA Knight.”
On last night’s SmackDown, LA Knight lost to Austin Theory in a #1 Contenders match for the United States Championship, after The Miz distracted him.
Knight is likely going to face Miz at the upcoming Payback premium live event now.
