3. Edge vs. Randy Orton
WWE Hall Of Famer Edge faced off against Randy Orton in ‘The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ at the Backlash pay-per-view in June.
According to several reports, Edge vs. Orton 2 was actually the plan for SummerSlam, but WWE decided to have it at Backlash due to the lack of star-power in the company at that time.
After that, WWE was planning to have the final showdown between The Rated-R Superstar and The Legend Killer at SummerSlam, but that obviously cannot happen due to Edge’s triceps injury.
Edge has already stated that he’ll be going after Orton once he’s back, so expect their third encounter to happen when he returns.
