1. Roman Reigns vs. The Fiend – Universal Championship Match
Since ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt moved to SmackDown last year, a match between him and Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship had been rumored to take place at WrestleMania 36. However, plans changed when Vince McMahon brought back Goldberg and decided to have Goldberg vs. Reigns for the Title instead, as he considered it a bigger draw.
Reigns vs. Goldberg also didn’t happen due to The Big Dog pulling out of WrestleMania at the last moment, and Braun Strowman defeating Goldberg to win the Universal Championship.
WWE had planned for Reigns to win the Title from Goldberg at WrestleMania and defend it against The Fiend at SummerSlam. The Fiend would’ve probably defeated Reigns to commemorate one year of his first match in WWE.
Obviously, that match won’t happen as Reigns isn’t coming back anytime soon. The new direction WWE is heading in is a Strowman vs. Fiend match for the Universal Championship.
