There were reports that WWE officials were highly considering a WrestleMania 34 rematch between The Undertaker & John Cena at the SummerSlam 2018 PPV.
However, that’s not the case. According to the Dirty Sheets, WWE officials never considered this rematch for SummerSlam 2018 as they are well aware of Cena’s hectic movie schedule and unavailability.
On the other hand, The Undertaker told WWE officials that he’s ready to work SummerSlam 2018, but noted that his opponent should be from the list of opponents he has in mind.
Below is the list of opponents that The Undertaker was open to facing at SummerSlam 2018:
– AJ Styles
– Drew McIntyre
– Daniel Bryan
Things didn’t work out in The Deadman’s favour (as Styles & Bryan are already involved in programs and WWE officials haven’t focused a lot on McIntyre as a singles competitor since his return to the main roster) and he won’t be working the SummerSlam 2018 PPV.
The Undertaker will be seen in action next on October 6, at the WWE Super Show-Down event in Australia. Undertaker will face fellow Old School WWF Legend Triple H on that night.

– Universal Championship Match: Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Roman Reigns
– WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe
– RAW Women’s Championship Match: Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
– Money In The Bank Contract On The Line: Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens
– Intercontinental Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Seth Rollins
– United States Championship Match: Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. Jeff Hardy
– SmackDown Women’s Championship Match: Carmella (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair
– SmackDown Tag Team Championship Match: The Bludgeon Brothers (c) vs. TBD (The Bar OR The New Day)
– WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match: Cedric Alexander (c) vs. Drew Gulak
