WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Liv Morgan was reportedly the target of a troubling stalking incident that led to an arrest outside the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. According to a report from PWInsider, the arrest took place on June 3rd, involving an individual suspected of stalking the WWE star. Initially, authorities reported two separate arrests that evening near the training facility, one of which was believed to be connected to a burglary warrant. However, PWInsider has since confirmed that one of those arrests was directly related to Liv Morgan’s case, and that the individual in question was being watched for behavior consistent with stalking.
Arrest of Liv Morgan’s Suspected Stalker Carried Out by Federal Authorities
What stands out in this developing situation is that the arrest wasn’t made by local law enforcement. PWInsider reported that the individual believed to be stalking Liv Morgan was taken into custody by a “much larger agency,” indicating potential federal involvement. This detail strongly suggests that the case may involve ongoing surveillance or a broader investigation, possibly tied to previous incidents involving the same suspect.
The exact identity of the person arrested has not yet been disclosed, and the nature of any pending charges remains unclear as of now. However, the fact that the situation required intervention from a larger agency rather than city police has added to concerns about the seriousness of the threat against Liv Morgan.
Other WWE Stars Have Also Faced Serious Stalker Problems
In August 2020, then-WWE Superstar Sonya Deville (real name Daria Berenato) was the target of a terrifying home invasion and attempted kidnapping. Phillip A. Thomas II, a 24-year-old man from South Carolina, had been obsessively stalking Deville online for months.
He drove to her home in Lutz, Florida, armed with a knife, zip ties, duct tape, and mace, intending to kidnap her. Thomas broke into her home by cutting a hole in the patio screen and waited for hours. Fortunately, Deville’s security alarm alerted her to the intrusion, allowing her and a guest to escape and call the police.
Thomas was arrested at the scene and later charged with attempted armed kidnapping, armed burglary, and aggravated stalking. In May 2023, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, followed by 15 years of probation.
Following the incident, WWE provided Deville with 24/7 armed security and relocated her to a safe location. Reflecting on the ordeal, Deville emphasized the need for stronger stalking laws and expressed gratitude for the support she received.
WWE and Liv Morgan Yet to Comment on the Arrest
As of now, WWE has not issued a public statement, and Liv Morgan herself has remained silent about the incident on social media. Given the lack of public details, it’s likely that WWE and law enforcement are working closely to manage the situation privately while ensuring Morgan’s safety.
This latest development once again raises concerns over the safety of WWE performers, especially when obsessive behavior crosses legal boundaries.
