• Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson Reveal Original Plan For Their AEW Debut, Anderson Was Set To Defeat Jon Moxley For The US Title In NJPW

As we noted earlier, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson appeared on tonight’s episode of Talk N’ Shop podcast and confirmed that they’ve signed with IMPACT Wrestling and will be appearing at their Slammiversary pay-per-view on Saturday night.

During this podcast appearance, they also revealed a lot of other stories. Below are the highlights:

– Gallows & Anderson wanted to leave WWE back in October 2016.

– The original plan for the first ever episode of AEW Dynamite was for Gallows & Anderson to debut by saving The Young Bucks & Kenny Omega in the main event, then too sweet them and then beat them up.

– Gallows & Anderson told an AEW official that they would sign with them, but instead they re-signed with WWE because they were being offered a lot of money and had to do it for the future of their families. Anderson noted that an AEW official is still unhappy with them for not living up to their promise of signing with them.

– If they had signed with AEW, they had plans to work NJPW as well. There was a plan being discussed for Anderson to come alone first and feud with Jon Moxley in NJPW, and then Gallows would return at WrestleKingdom and help Anderson to defeat Moxley to win the IWGP United States Championship.

– They acknowledged that Saudi Arabia did have a hand in delaying the WWE flight after WWE Crown Jewel 2019.

– They have signed a 2 year deal with Impact Wrestling and will work with NJPW as well.
