In the main event of WrestleMania 39 – Night 2, Roman Reigns defeated Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Roman’s next title defense will be at the Night Of Champions premium live event in Saudi Arabia on May 27th, which is also the day he will complete 1,000 days as champion.
According to Xero News, Reigns’ next feud is scheduled to be against AJ Styles.
Styles himself hinted at this feud on last night’s SmackDown. When he was on commentary during The Viking Raiders vs. Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson match, The Phenomenal One said The Tribal Chief is on his radar.
AJ Styles, along with The O.C. (Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson & “Michin” Mia Yim), were drafted to SmackDown.
Reigns vs. Styles last took place at a WWE Live Event in 2022, where Reigns defeated Styles.
The last televised matches between these two men took place in 2016, at the Payback & Extreme Rules PPVs, where Reigns defeated Styles to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE has announced that The Head Of The Table will return to TV on next week’s SmackDown.
Also, the following matches are scheduled to take place next Friday:
– 3 Matches in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament
– Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez (c) vs. Damage CTRL (Bayley & Dakota Kai) for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
– Cameron Grimes vs. Baron Corbin
