• Major Name Says WWE Can’t Keep Relying On Steve Austin & The Rock
During a recent appearance on ‘Busted Open Radio’, 16-time World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair stated that WWE can’t keep relying on major part time names like Stone Cold Steve Austin & The Rock in the future.
The 2-time WWE Hall of Famer was referring to the heavy rumors that The Rock would headline WrestleMania 39 against his cousin Roman Reigns, which we all know, isn’t happening, because The Rock couldn’t find the time in his busy Hollywood schedule to properly prepare for an in-ring return, let alone a WrestleMania main event.
Here’s what The Nature Boy said:
“I hope Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock come by. If they don’t, you know, there comes a time in the business, as we all know, when you can’t just keep relying on Steve and Rock.
Now John Cena is still going, but Steve’s got a whole other life.
Steve’s got an empire. And The Rock’s got an empire. And they don’t need the money, they do it for the love of the business, you know what I mean?
But for how long have we been hearing, six months we heard that Rock was going to wrestle Roman, and they say he’s not? And guess what, they’re still sold out with Cody Rhodes.”
