• Stone Cold Steve Austin last appeared on WWE programming at WrestleMania 38 in 2022, where he came out of retirement. In the main event of Night 1, he defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match.
During an interview with The Athletic, Austin teased an appearance at WrestleMania 41 in 2025. Here’s what the former 6-time WWF Champion said:
“[Kevin Owens] got in the ring with the name Stone Cold Steve Austin, but he didn’t get in with the true Stone Cold who was a (expletive) machine. When the ball rang, I was an (expletive). And he didn’t get that guy. That’s what I was mad about.
I wanted him to know what it was like to be in there with the (expletive) when he’s on. You try to be the guy you were, you try to be in that alpha state. Although your mindset is there, physically you are not.
I said I won’t leave Nevada. It’s hard to get me out of this state. But… WrestleMania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada.”

• Fightful Select is reporting that Eric Watts has joined the WWE writing team as a full-time creative member for SmackDown.
Watts was a contestant on the 2011 season of WWE Tough Enough, which featured Marty The Moth, Matt Cross, and Cameron. Although he never officially wrestled for WWE, he has worked for the company as an extra.
He also wrestled in TNA with Chris Bey as his tag team partner. He once competed in an AEW Dark match against Jurassic Express.
