On this day in 1994, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Wrestling Challenge’.
It was pre-taped at the Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and featured matches, promo videos, interviews & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 1994’ PPV.

• Major Possible Spoiler For SummerSlam 2020
As we noted earlier, WWE is reportedly planning an angle, which will see Drew McIntyre losing the WWE Championship to Randy Orton at SummerSlam 2020, who will then go on to feud with Edge for the Title. McIntyre will likely win it back when the fans begin attending events.
In an update to that report, The Wrestling Observer confirmed that there are indeed rumors going around of McIntyre dropping the WWE Championship at SummerSlam next month.
The reason behind this move is that WWE wants to have a major-stakes match when Orton and Edge meet next time, as it’ll be their final encounter.
This is part of WWE’s counterproductive booking, as they think fans want to see new wrestlers getting major pushes. A big name like Orton, who’s also a heel, wouldn’t also get much backlash from the fans for defeating McIntyre.
