• Major Star Teases Returning For A Match At WrestleMania 40
As we have reported before, Stone Cold Steve Austin was offered matches against Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar for WrestleMania 39, but he turned them down.
During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Austin revealed that his schedule for ‘Stone Cold Takes on America’ (which will premiere on April 30th on A&E) and shooting taking more time than expected prevented him from getting ready for a match at the biggest WWE show of 2023.
During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Austin teased the idea of having a match at WrestleMania 40 in 2024:
“I could. I’m not going to sit here and lobby for one because that’d be silly. It’s a year away, but a year away in this business goes like that.
So in the future, I’m not lobbying for it, but could anything happen? Yes. Because I always say never say never.”
By the time of next year’s WrestleMania, Austin will be 59 years old.
