• Major Update On The Usos For Next Week
As seen on Friday’s SmackDown, Jey Uso returned to team up with his brother Jimmy Uso. The Usos defeated Ricochet & Braun Strowman to retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.
Later in the night, Sami Zayn met Jey backstage. Sami thanked Jey for not joining in on the attack on him at Royal Rumble. He said he knows Roman Reigns and Jey doesn’t have to go down with the ship, there’s a way out of this.
Sami then said he acknowledges Jey and they did a fist bump.
During the ending moments of the show, Paul Heyman told Jimmy that he talked to The Tribal Chief, and Roman Reigns wants The Usos to stay home and watch next Friday’s SmackDown on TV, because there are some things you see on TV that you don’t see otherwise (referring to Sami’s meeting with Jey earlier in the night).
At first, it was thought that this angle was done because next Friday’s SmackDown and Saturday’s Elimination Chamber will take place in Canada, and Jimmy Uso isn’t allowed to enter Canada due to his previous DUI arrests.
However, in an update, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Jimmy is now cleared to enter Canada and The Usos will be there for Elimination Chamber.
The Usos vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn for the Tag Team Titles is rumored for WrestleMania 39, so some kind of angle might go down to build this match at Elimination Chamber.
