At the AEW Full Gear 2025 PPV, Mark Briscoe defeated Kyle Fletcher in a No Disqualification match to win the TNT Championship.

Briscoe received a custom TNT Title backstage from Orange Cassidy.

During the post-show media scrum, Briscoe said the following about his title win:

“It’s amazing. I never necessarily thought that nights like tonight would happen. I’m a tag team wrestler. I’ve always been a tag team wrestler. So it’s been three years now that I’ve put that behind me, and so… really amazing. I wanna thank Tony, I wanna thank family, thank God and thank all y’all, all the fans, everybody who supports. I can’t really quite find the words but, it feel pretty good, feel pretty good.”

He was also asked about how it feels to be the TNT Champion after The Briscoe Brothers weren’t allowed to appear on AEW programming on TNT due to controversial past comments made by Jay Briscoe. Here’s what Mark said:

“It really is a crazy story where, allegedly, the reason that we couldn’t be here was a TNT executive. Ever since I’ve been here, every single individual from Turner, TNT, TBS, that I’ve met, has been amazing. It’s crazy because so many years ago, we didn’t know there was a point where the trajectory of The Briscoe Brothers was all up.

Some unfortunate comments were made by my bigheaded brother (laughs). It’s one of those things where you live and you learn. We’re so grateful that people have seen and acknowledged that we did learn from our mistakes. The full circle aspect of it is mind-blowing. It’s hard to put into words.

When my brother passed, the first thing that popped into my head was, ‘I never want to wrestle again.’ It was a very short amount of time, ‘What are you talking about? No, we’re not quitting.’ I felt him. ‘Keep on keeping on. Make us proud.’ It was quite validating.”

AEW President Tony Khan confirmed that the TNT executive who didn’t allow Briscoes to appear in All Elite Wrestling is no longer in his position and left a while back.
