Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, featuring Matt Hardy and Jake Hager.
• Matt Hardy has worked a few Saudi Arabia premium live events during his time in WWE.
On his podcast, the Tag Team Legend revealed what WWE stars aren’t allowed to bring to Saudi:
“One of the big things especially for the wrestlers, no alcohol was allowed there. They said don’t try to bring alcohol, don’t try to bring drugs, that’s like a very, very big deal and a very serious crime if you do that. That’s the first thing that really stands out I think.
That was the main thing and everything else was kind of, be decent. I think they said don’t venture out on your own or go with someone, kind of stick around or near the hotel. I think we almost had to because we were only there for like, you know, a day before and then it was the show.”

• After Mark Henry and Arn Anderson, Jake Hager (former World Heavyweight Champion Jack Swagger in WWE) has left AEW as well.
According to BodySlam, Hager’s contract expired and he did not re-sign. This was a mutual decision between Hager and All Elite Wrestling.
Jake Hager made his AEW debut on October 2, 2019, during the first ever episode of Dynamite, joining The Inner Circle. He had his first AEW match on February 29, 2020, at the Revolution PPV, where he defeated Dustin Rhodes.
After The Inner Circle disbanded, Hager became part of the Jericho Appreciation Society, but his TV presence diminished since the group split in late 2023.
Hager’s last match in AEW was a loss to Roderick Strong on the February 23, 2024 episode of Rampage.
