• Drew McIntyre’s Situation Is Real

Drew McIntyre’s tag team match at SummerSlam 2025 is reportedly in jeopardy after the WWE star found himself stranded in England due to passport complications. McIntyre, who recently attended a friend’s wedding in the United Kingdom, posted a video to social media from a rural countryside location explaining that he was denied boarding on his return flight without his U.S. passport – even though he had his British passport and Global Entry credentials.

The gate agent recognized him but still refused to let him board, citing lack of proper U.S. documentation. He also revealed his wife had to return home alone to care for their sick cat while he remained stuck overseas. Seeking to weave the situation into WWE storyline, McIntyre playfully accused one of his scheduled opponents, Jelly Roll, of orchestrating the travel hiccup through connections, claiming the country star was intimidated by McIntyre’s physical presence on TV. He vowed to make Jelly Roll “pay” once he returns and warned the singer that one day he might “look like one of these cows,” referring to the grazing animals around him.

McIntyre is scheduled to team with Logan Paul against Randy Orton and Jelly Roll at SummerSlam this coming weekend.

PWInsider confirmed that McIntyre’s travel problems are not part of any planned storyline and the situation is very real. WWE is working to resolve them so he can make the event as booked.

• CM Punk Reveals What Meant More To Him Than Main Eventing WrestleMania This Year

CM Punk finally main evented WrestleMania this year, but main eventing RAW’s debut episode on Netflix meant more to Punk. At the San Diego Comic Con, Punk said the following about defeating Seth Rollins in the main event of RAW’s Netflix premiere on January 6, 2025:

“I think the idea was maybe to reset and still head in that direction. But then the Netflix debut came up, and to me, that was a bigger deal than WrestleMania. Because you only get one shot at a first show – at making a first impression. And to be on top of that card? That meant everything.”
