• Michelle McCool Says Hall Of Famer Fought Against The Decision Of Ending The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge lost the World Heavyweight Championship to The Undertaker in the main event of WrestleMania 24. At the same time, The Deadman continued his winning streak at the Show Of Shows as well.

In an interview with New York Post, former WWE Women’s Champion Michelle McCool (Undertaker’s wife) revealed that WWE had planned for Edge to end the streak at WrestleMania 24. However, Edge took a stand against the decision and successfully persuaded the officials to let him drop the Title to Taker at the event.

Below is what McCool said:

“I remember a few years prior at WrestleMania [24] versus Edge, they talked about Edge breaking the streak and it was Edge that was actually like ‘That makes zero sense. I don’t want to do that. Why would I do that? The fans already love him. What’s it going to do for Edge?’

I couldn’t believe it. I don’t think it needed to happen. But Mark [Calaway] was fine with it. People don’t understand he’s gonna do business. He understands that business is business.”
