• Update On 2 Cold Scorpio’s Criminal Trial
The criminal trial for WWF / WCW / ECW Veteran 2 Cold Scorpio (real name: Charles Scaggs) has been delayed until later this year.
He will now go to trial on November 3 in Kansas City, Missouri. A pre-trial hearing is set for October 23.
Scaggs, 59, was originally scheduled to face a jury on June 21. The trial stems from an incident on June 15, 2024, when he was arrested after a violent altercation at a Love’s Travel Stop, where he worked as a security guard.
Authorities say the incident started when Scaggs asked a man to put out a cigarette. The confrontation moved outside and ended with the man being stabbed multiple times.
The victim was hospitalized with serious injuries and later identified Scaggs as the attacker. Scaggs has pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault and armed criminal action, both felony charges.
Following the arrest, Scaggs was pulled from a GCW tour in Japan and lost several other bookings.
Despite the charges, some of his peers have stepped up in support. ECW alumni like The Sandman, Tod Gordon, and Bill Alfonso are helping with his legal defense.
