WWE NXT went head-to-head with AEW’s special “Title Tuesday” episode of Dynamite this week as Dynamite had to move to Tuesday night this week due to MLB playoffs on Wednesday.
NXT ran commercial free for the first 30 minutes, while Dynamite ran commercial free for almost 45 minutes and also had a 10-minute overrun.
Dynamite had a lot of title matches and big stars on the show, which WWE tackled with a lot of main roster names and an appearance from WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.
NXT defeated Dynamite in the ratings war as WWE’s third brand drew 921,000 viewers with a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demo, while Dynamite drew 603,000 viewers with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Mickie James revealed that she was more focused on NXT and checked out Dynamite results on social media.
“I will be honest, I stayed more with NXT and then I was kinda checking most of AEW’s results and stuff via Twitter.”
The former WWE Women’s Champion also stated that The Undertaker taking out Bron Breakker in the main event of NXT was her favourite moment across both shows and suggested that The Deadman should have his own pair of Nikes.
“I can’t think of a time where I saw Undertaker in Undersneakers.”
