AEW President Tony Khan has been running wild on Twitter due to AEW Dynamite going head-to-head with WWE NXT this past Tuesday night.
He got personal with WWE Executive Chairman Vince McMahon, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and NXT Head Of Creative Shawn Michaels by taking multiple shots at them.
NXT defeated AEW in the ratings war as WWE’s third brand drew 921,000 viewers with a 0.30 rating in the 18-49 demo, while Dynamite drew 603,000 viewers with a 0.26 rating in the 18-49 demo.
Khan has now taken aim at WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker and John Cena, as they were the two biggest names that NXT featured against Dynamite this week.
He took to Twitter to state that in the history of WWE, Taker and Cena were never on a WWE show which drew less than 1 million viewers and less than 400,000 viewers in the key 18-49 demo, until they were on NXT and went head-to-head with Dynamite.
Below is what Khan tweeted:
“This week, 2 active decades-long ratings streaks from 2 great legends were ended.
With all due respect, until this week’s head-to-head AEW on TBS vs WWE on USA, neither John Cena nor Undertaker had ever been on a WWE show with under 1 million total viewers + under 400k in the demo.”
