AEW World Tag Team Champion Cash Wheeler of FTR was arrested after turning himself in last night after being charged with aggravated assault with a firearm in Florida.

His arraignment took place on Friday morning in which the prosecution noted that the incident was “believed to be a road rage incident”. Wheeler allegedly “flashed a gun” at the other party during the incident and he does not know them personally.

Wheeler was ordered to turn in any weapons that were in his possession to the Orange County Sherriff’s Office within 12 hours of his release pending the resolution of the criminal case against him. He was also ordered to not get in any sort of contact with the victims or witnesses of the incident.

His arrest was the most discussed topic among wrestling fans on the internet today.

However, AEW World Champion MJF thinks that fans judging Wheeler for a mistake isn’t right.

He sent out a tweet for his former Pinnacle teammate and said that fans should discuss the upcoming match between FTR and The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at All In next week.

“Kinda disappointed how many dorks there are on this app that jump to conclusions so quick. A ton of peoples privilege is showing.

We’re all human. We’re all flawed. We all make mistakes. Take it from a guy who’s made more mistakes than most.

I’ve had my ups and downs with FTR but Cash Wheeler is a great dude and a bad a$$.

You’re getting FTR Vs Young Bucks in front of 80k plus on August 27th.

Talk about that ya dweebs.”

Speaking of Wheeler, FTR is set to speak on tomorrow’s episode of AEW Collision and they will be travelling to London for All In.
