• MJF Gives A Big Update On His AEW Contract
During his interview on The MMA Hour, AEW wrestler MJF revealed that Tony Khan has given him a pay raise without signing a contract extension.
MJF noted that his contract is still set to expire at the start of 2024, and he might join WWE if they decide to offer him more money than All Elite Wrestling.
Below are the highlights:
On getting a pay raise without signing a contract extension:
“It’s still January 2024. If you watch the NFL, I do believe there’s a guy who was in a similar situation who felt he deserved more money. They gave him more money without a contract extension.”
On why he didn’t sign a contract extension with AEW:
“Because, right now, I am the #1 contender to the AEW World Title. If I win the Title, what is more bargain power in the world than having the most important Championship in your hands?
So when January 1st 2024 rolls around, the Devil goes to the highest bidder.”
