NXT commentator Booker T was voted the worst TV announcer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter 2025 awards. Booker T received the most votes in this category among the Observer’s audience:
1. Booker T: 516 votes
2. Pat McAfee: 123 votes
3. Michael Cole: 102 votes
4. Vic Joseph: 45 votes
5. Tony Schiavone: 40 votes
WWE personality Sam Roberts tweeted the following about it:
“This is insane. Book is pure emotion. Feelings. Vibes. There’s a list of NXT stars who came to the main roster with crowd response that had been guided by Booker T’s NXT commentary.
Wrestling = Feelings. That’s Booker T.”
AEW World Champion MJF also showed support for the 2-time WWE Hall of Famer:
“Booker T in a lot of ways is a blueprint to me. A completely homegrown top guy with massive drawing power on Warner TV without having to have worked for McMahon.
If you dislike what he does in the booth, that’s fine.
But You guys talk crazy on legends.
Show some respect, he’s earned it.”

• Return On Tonight’s RAW (Video)
World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk came out on tonight’s RAW in Memphis and said he’s the Best In The World, not Roman Reigns or Finn Balor. Finn came out with Dominik Mysterio and the returning JD McDonagh. Finn talked about his accomplishments, including defeating Roman Reigns on his first night on RAW back in 2016.

Punk said Finn used to mean something before he joined The Judgment Day, but idiots like Dirty Dom and JD dragged Finn down to their level. Punk turned his back on them and told them to attack him as that’s what they are good at.
Finn told Dom and JD to back down. Punk threw his mic at Finn and left. JD was not happy and wanted to fight Punk, but Finn held him back.

• WWE Has A Surprise For Elimination Chamber
On tonight’s RAW, General Manager Adam Pearce received a crate with instructions to not open it until the Elimination Chamber PLE on February 28.
Pearce wasn’t happy about it and told the employee to deliver it to SmackDown so Nick Aldis can deal with it.
