• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (September 7, 2003) – Old School Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2003, we lost Old School Wrestling Veteran The Great Antonio (Real name: Antonio Barichievich) at the age of 77 due to a heart attack.

During the 50s, 60s & 70s he worked for various Canadian territories, as well as a few matches for Vince McMahon Sr.’s ‘NWA Capitol Wrestling’, which eventually became the World Wide Wrestling Federation (later WWF/WWE).

In 1977, while on a tour for NJPW, he wrestled the legendary Antonio Inoki, but during the match for some reason refused to sell for his his opponent and at the same time stiffed him with some heavy punches.

As a reaction to Antonio refusing to work a proper match, the legitimate Martial Artist Inoki responded by shooting (fighting for real) on him, taking Antonio down and kicking his face in, leaving him a bloody mess.

• More AEW Wrestlers Take Shots At WWE’s New Policy (Videos)

After saying that he stopped taking shots at WWE to not look like a bitter ex-employee of the company, AEW TNT Champion Brodie Lee once again took a shot at WWE. This time it was at WWE’s policy regarding talent engaging in third party activities.

On the latest episode of Being The Elite, Lee banned The Dark Order from engaging in all third party activities.

He asked Evil Uno: “What’s your name on Twitch?”

Uno replied: “Evil Uno.”

Lee then said: “Not any f*cking more! Twitch is DEAD! Everybody is DEAD! NO MORE TWITCH! NO MORE 3rd PARTY AFFILIATES! YOU ARE DETRIMENTAL TO MY COMPANY!”

New AEW Tag Team Champions FTR also took a shot at the policy after their Championship win this past Saturday at All Out.
