• More Babyface-Heel Turns Coming In WWE, Reason Behind It

Xia Li was drafted to SmackDown last year. She made her official main roster debut in December 2021, where she called herself “The Protector”.

She is the first woman from China to compete in a WWE ring.

Xia made her SmackDown in-ring debut on the February 25th episode, but hasn’t wrestled a televised match since then.

On Friday’s SmackDown, she cut a promo where she might have turned heel.

Below is what she said in her promo:

“My name is Xia Li. I was The Protector, but I see no one worthy of my protection. Now I protect myself.”

She also tweeted the following:

“I am the protector, I protect Myself.”

According to Wrestlingnewsco, more babyface-heel turns are scheduled to come in WWE:

“This is the latest example of plans suddenly changing in WWE. Wrestlingnewsco was told that fans should expect more turns for several stars in the coming weeks as Vince McMahon feels that some of the talent is being miscast right now.”
