On a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez offered some unsettling insight into the latest round of WWE departures, suggesting that more names could be on the chopping block. The conversation began with the confirmed departure of Sarah Logan, also known as Valhalla, whose contract with WWE had quietly expired.
“I’ve been told that might be others as well. So this might not be the end with Valhalla being released,” Alvarez reported, indicating that the wave of talent cuts may still be ongoing.
Logan joins R-Truth and Carlito as the latest known exits, although neither WWE nor the departed talent has publicly confirmed all details. However, according to Alvarez, these departures may only be part of a broader round of changes.
WWE Could Be Phasing Out The Miz
One of the most surprising revelations from Alvarez involved The Miz, a longtime WWE veteran and one of the company’s most recognizable faces. Though The Miz has recently appeared on SmackDown alongside Carmelo Hayes, the pairing was already showing cracks—at a time when other releases were quietly unfolding.
“Miz has not been doing much lately, and on Friday, they did a segment… he had just gotten put together with Carmelo Hayes as a tag team, and they were teasing a breakup on Friday… And this was right when they cut Truth and Carlito and now Sarah Logan and I’ve been told there were others,” Alvarez explained.
While no official release has been confirmed for The Miz, the sudden storyline shift combined with backstage murmurs has raised eyebrows.
WWE References Vanish from The Miz’s Social Media
Adding more fuel to the fire, Alvarez pointed out that The Miz has scrubbed all WWE references from his X profile—something longtime fans will recognize as highly unusual for someone under active contract.
“If you go to his Twitter, I mean, there are no mentions of WWE… It no longer says the most must see WWE superstar. He removed all references to WWE. It now says ‘the most must read Twitter account of all time,’ and that’s it,” Alvarez said.
While some fans have chalked up the change to The Miz’s side projects—he’s reportedly filming a new season of American Gladiators in London—Alvarez believes the timing feels suspicious.
“Now, I was told that he is doing the new season of American Gladiators or whatever. And so I know people are skeptical they would get rid of him now. But he did remove references to WWE from his social media. And I just think it would be a pretty lame thing to do that if you’re not being released when everyone else has been released.”
WWE Speculation Grows: “Where There’s Smoke, There Could Be Fire”
While Bryan Alvarez stopped short of confirming The Miz’s exit, he closed the segment by leaving listeners with a cautionary note: “So where there’s smoke, there could be fire, I will say that, but I guess we’ll find out as the week goes on.”
As rumors swirl, all eyes are on WWE to see whether The Miz, a company fixture for nearly two decades, could be the next name added to the list of unexpected releases.
