On this day in Pro Wrestling history on April 13, 1990, the WWF/AJPW/NJPW Wrestling Summit was broadcasted from the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan and aired live on Japanese television.

This was a co-produced show by Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation, Antonio Inoki’s New Japan Pro Wrestling and Giant Baba’s All Japan Pro Wrestling.

WWE announced the following:

Big E suffers knee injury

“Big E of The New Day has suffered a torn meniscus, according to a tweet from the Superstar posted Thursday afternoon.

He is not currently medically cleared for action.”

In addition to this, former RAW Women’s Champion Nia Jax tore her ACLs in both knees and will be undergoing surgery.

As we noted before, Daniel Bryan and AJ Styles also got hurt at WrestleMania 35. Ronda Rousey also broke her hand during the WrestleMania 35 main event, but she was supposed to take a break from WWE anyway.
