• Old School ECW Veteran Celebrates His Birthday
Legendary Hardcore Wrestler & real life Bounty Hunter “The Original Gangsta” New Jack (Real name: Jerome Young) turns 56 today.
New Jack originally made a name for himself in Jim Cornette’s SMW Smoky Mountain Wrestling territory, where he formed ‘The Gangstas’ with his Tag Team partner Mustafa Saed, but soon jumped ship to Paul Heyman’s ECW Extreme Championship Wrestling, where he became a house hold name in Hardcore Wrestling and somewhat of an innovator when it comes to jumping of balconies during pro wrestling matches.
After ECW closed its doors in January 2001, New Jack continued to wrestle on the indies (with a few short stints in TNA in between) until he officially retired a few years ago. He has since came out of retirement quite a few times, to reunite The Gangstas with his old partner Mustafa.

• Multiple Legends Reportedly Involved With All Elite Wrestling
As we all know by now, All Elite Wrestling is set to start functioning this year and they’ve already announced their first show – Double Or Nothing.
Cody Rhodes released a statement and noted that he’s going to be the Executive Vice President for All Elite Wrestling.

“I feel so damn lucky. I believe that more than talent… more than chance… work ethic will guide me where I’d like to go.
To be Executive Vice President for our new venture, and to be flanked by Matt and Nick and a few familiar names sharing that position: this is my dream job.
I can’t think of a time when so many of wrestling’s top free agents all opted out of the road usually traveled and instead wanting to start something new. I am excited to see AEW into existence.
What’s old isn’t new – what’s new is new. Perception isn’t reality – reality is reality. Fans first.”
Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting that Jacksonville Jaguars co-owner Tony Khan is President of All Elite Wrestling.
Rajah is now reporting that AEW is planning to go after WWE Stars whose contracts are coming up. They’re also looking to sign some Wrestling Legends.
This is quite interesting, especially after we noted yesterday that some popular WWE Stars are keeping their eyes on AEW as they’re not happy with their position in WWE, as reported by Ryan Satin.
I also know of some popular WWE wrestlers watching what happens with All Elite Wrestling very closely, as they’re unhappy creatively and looking for a change of scenery.

Rajah is now reporting that Barry Bloom is going to be involved with AEW and he’ll be recruiting talent for the company.
Barry Bloom is connected to two big Pro-Wrestling names – Goldberg & Chris Jericho.
While Goldberg is a name that’s been discussed to come into AEW, Jericho is expected to have an in-depth role in the company.
Also, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is expected to announce his involvement with All Elite Wrestling once his contract with WWE expires.
Speaking of AEW’s TV show, “Tuesday Night Dynamite” is expected to be the name of their TV show and AEW officials are using the Khan Family to get in touch with Time Warner, hoping to have their TV show air on TNT or TBS.
