• New Champion Crowned In TKO After Backlash Goes Off The Air

In the main event of WWE Backlash 2025, John Cena defeated Randy Orton (after an inadvertent distraction from R-Truth) to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.

After Backlash went off the air, TKO Group Holdings hosted another event: UFC 315.

In the main event of this pay-per-view, Jack Della Maddalena defeated Belal Muhammad to win the UFC Welterweight (170 lbs) Championship via Unanimous Decision in their 5-round fight. This was Belal’s first loss in over 6 years.

For those who don’t know, Belal is CM Punk’s friend and teammate. Punk even gave Belal a shout out during one of his promos on RAW after Belal captured the title last year.

Along with Belal’s loss, UFC Hall of Famer José Aldo retired after his unanimous decision loss to Aiemann Zahabi in their 3-round Featherweight (145 lbs) bout.

Also during this PPV, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion and UFC 12 Heavyweight Tournament winner Vitor Belfort was revealed as the next inductee into the UFC Hall of Fame’s “Pioneer Wing”.

• Triple H Says SmackDown Star Is Banged Up After Backlash

Triple H has provided an update on Drew McIntyre following a brutal spot at WWE Backlash.

During the Fatal 4-Way match for the United States Championship, McIntyre took a South of Heaven Chokeslam from Damian Priest off the production area and through two tables. After the impact, he was seen holding the back of his head.

PWInsider reported that McIntyre was checked by medical staff after the match, as word going on is that McIntyre’s head missed the table and hit the floor.

Speaking at the post-show press conference, Triple H said:

“Luckily, everybody is healthy. I think Priest got a tooth that he’s hoping will stay inside of his head for a couple days here and get solid again. Other than that, Drew McIntyre, a little banged up but totally fine.”
