• New Champion Crowned On Tonight’s SmackDown
In the opening match of tonight’s SmackDown, Ricochet defeated Sami Zayn to win the Intercontinental Championship.
After back & forth action, Johnny Knoxville came out and Zayn got distracted. This resulted in Ricochet taking advantage and winning the match.

After this, Zayn lost his mind in the backstage area and then challenged Knoxville to a match at WrestleMania 38.
This is Ricochet’s 2nd Title win on the WWE main roster. He won the United States Championship prior to this.
As we reported before, Ricochet is now being booked as the #2 babyface on SmackDown, with Drew McIntyre being #1.
