2. New World Title Not Debuting After All?

It was being rumored that a new World Title would be introduced after the Brand Split (since a Brand would be left without a World Champion after the Draft).

But now it looks like a second World Title might not be returning after all. WWE plans to keep only 1 World Champion, and that is the WWE Champion (which is currently on SmackDown Live).

The WWE Champion is expected to appear on both the brands for challenges.

New World Title Not Coming After Brand Split 2016

Below is what Intercontinental Champion The Miz said about this Sunday’s WWE Title match between all three members of The Shield and how it affects both the brands:

“These are three main eventers, top guys, in both rosters for SmackDown and Raw. And it’ll be interesting to see where the title goes, because that’s the WWE Championship. If the title goes to Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins, the title goes to Raw. However, if Dean Ambrose can retain it, it stays on SmackDown.”
