• New Report States That The Undertaker Won’t Wrestle At WrestleMania 34, John Cena vs. Rey Mysterio Expected To Happen

As we noted last night, Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reported that former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio is in talks to face John Cena at WrestleMania 34. Below is what Barrasso tweeted:

In an update to this report, Barrasso is now reporting that The Undertaker won’t be working a match at WrestleMania 34 and that Rey Mysterio will now face John Cena, with Mysterio finalizing his WWE deal by this weekend.

This claim from Barrasso conflicts the “100% confirmed” reports of the Dirty Sheets of Cena facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34 and Dirty Sheets have been the most correct source for WWE News out of all sources as of late. On the other hand, Barrasso hasn’t been that accurate as of late.

Also, PWInsider is reporting that their sources have told them that Mysterio wasn’t backstage for this week’s SmackDown Live in Los Angeles, while Barrasso reports that he was backstage.

Barrasso also noted that Cena requested to work a match with either Samoa Joe (who’s currently injured) or the returning Rey Mysterio (based upon the buzz surrounding Mysterio’s return at Royal Rumble 2018 – which drew over 13 million views on YouTube).

Speaking of Mysterio, he’s scheduled to face Jushin “Thunder” Liger at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s “Strong Style Evolved” event on March 25th. This will be Mysterio’s NJPW in-ring debut.
