3. Cesaro Expected To Get A Title Shot Soon, Sasha Banks Injury Update
As we all know, Cesaro & Sheamus are a part of a best of 7 series on Monday Night Raw. The first match of the best of 7 series took place on the Kickoff show at SummerSlam 2016 and was won by Sheamus.
The second match will take place on next week’s episode of Raw. Raw General Manager Mick Foley has talked about Cesaro & Sheamus getting Title opportunities after their matches and it is expected that the winner of this best of 7 series will get a Title shot.
No word yet on if it will be a shot at the United States Championship (Rusev is the current Champion) or the Universal Championship (new Champion to be crowned next week on Raw).
Cesaro is currently scheduled to win this best of 7 series, so expect him to get a Title shot sometime in October or November.
“The Boss” Sasha Banks dropped the WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam 2016 in order to take time off from WWE Programming to heal (she’s been dealing with some injuries as of late).
It was previously expected that she would be out for 6 months, but that isn’t the case anymore. It is being reported that Sasha would be out of action for only a month and will be back in action to WWE Live Events in late September. She won’t be requiring surgery. WWE reported that she injured her back at SummerSlam 2016 during her Title match with Charlotte.
