• New Wrestling Promotion Is Trying To Sign Bray Wyatt
According to Fightful Select, former WWE writer and famous 90s Hollywood actor Freddie Prinze Jr. is about to start his own professional wrestling promotion and is most likely behind a big offer recently made to sign former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt.
Here’s what they reported:
“There is standing offer from a ‘startup wrestling company’ for Bray Wyatt to join. We haven’t heard if he has any interest or has accepted, but we’re told that it’s a ‘serious’ offer, though that can mean different things to different people. It was heavily implied that it would be Freddie Prinze Jr’s eventual wrestling company, though not explicitly stated.
Upon returning to WWE, it was revealed that Prinze had planned to have (Karrion) Kross heavily featured in his plans moving forward, but had to adjust as a result.
We haven’t learned if Wyatt was planned prior to that.”
Bray was released by (Vince McMahon’s) WWE in July 2021 and he hasn’t joined any other promotion since.
It should be noted that whether he signs with Tony Khan’s AEW or any other promotion other than WWE, he wouldn’t be able to keep his ring name and would most likely have to wrestle under his real name, Windham Rotunda.
Wyatt is the son of WWF Legend ‘I.R.S.’ Irwin R. Schyster / Mike Rotundo, the nephew of Barry Windham and the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan.
