• New WWE Owner Might Bring Back Stephanie McMahon
Earlier this year, Stephanie McMahon resigned from her position in WWE and went on the break that she was supposed to go on last year.
According to David Faber on Squawk on the Street, WWE’s sale process is going hot & heavy:
“From what I’m hearing, at least from people familiar with the situation, is it’s shaping up be a pretty good sale process.
Some people are saying it’s pretty hot and heavy and those who were somewhat doubtful that you’d get to a sale at the end seem less so.”
He also revealed that NBCUniversal/Comcast isn’t a part of the bidding war.
According to Fightful Select, Stephanie could be brought back to the company after the sale:
“There were actually numerous sources related to rumored buyers who said that Stephanie McMahon could be a desired return.
One source at Disney said ‘these companies are doing their due diligence, they’re following the news cycles, regardless of their public levels of interest. They’re aware of the things that would make audiences and staff happy. She seemed to bring a lot of positive to the company. The company’s progression under Nick Khan was also played up.'”
