Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Nick Khan and WrestleMania 41.

• At the Next Level Sports conference at USC, Nick Khan revealed that WWE is working on a new behind-the-scenes documentary for Netflix.

Originally reported by Bloomberg, this deal marks a further collaboration between WWE and the streaming service, although no release date has been set yet.

“World Wrestling Entertainment Inc., part of TKO Group Holdings Inc., is set to debut a behind-the-scenes documentary series on Netflix Inc., WWE President Nick Khan announced on Thursday.

The new series is part of WWE’s expanding partnership with Netflix, Khan told the University of Southern California Next Level Sports conference in Inglewood, California.

Earlier this year, the two companies signed a $5 billion, 10-year deal that will bring WWE’s flagship program, RAW, to the streaming service in 2025.”

TKO President Mark Shapiro had previously hinted at a project similar to Netflix’s Formula 1: Drive to Survive, a series that has significantly boosted the sport’s popularity, particularly among younger audiences since its 2019 debut.

• Charlotte Flair has been out of action since injuring her knee on the December 8, 2023 episode of SmackDown. After undergoing surgery, she’s been focused on her recovery. Though she hasn’t returned to WWE TV yet, it seems WWE already has plans for her at WrestleMania 41.

Flair missed WrestleMania 40 due to her injury, but she’s expected to return between late 2024 and early 2025, with a possible championship win on the horizon.

WrestleMania 41, scheduled for April 19-20, 2025 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, is highly anticipated, and WWE is known for going all out to make it special.

WrestleVotes was asked about a potential match between Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41. While nothing was confirmed about that match, it was made clear that Charlotte will have a major role in the top women’s match at the event, and she’ll be a key figure in any women’s bout WWE showcases at WrestleMania.

“Another WrestleMania question, that’s a good one. I haven’t heard too much… about potential women’s matches at WrestleMania. I do know that Charlotte Flair is going to be in the fold and at the top of any women’s wrestling card that they present for WrestleMania.”
