• We are saddened to report that NJPW / AJPW Veteran Yutaka Yoshie has passed away at the age of 50.
All Japan Pro Wrestling issued the following statement:
“Yutaka Yoshie, who was participating in the Takasaki tournament held today, passed away on March 10, 2024.
After Yutaka Yoshie returned to the waiting room after the match, his condition suddenly deteriorated and he was rushed to a hospital in Takasaki City, but he never returned home.
We would like to remember Yutaka Yoshie’s achievements during his lifetime and pray for his soul to rest in peace.”
During his career, Yutaka held Tag Team Titles in both NJPW (with Hiroshi Tanahashi) and AJPW (with Akebono).
• Michael “Venom” Page had his UFC debut fight at last night’s UFC 299 PPV. He defeated Kevin Holland via unanimous decision to take his MMA record to 22-2.
