“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles will defend his WWE World Championship against John Cena & Dean Ambrose at No Mercy 2016 in a Triple Threat match. It should be noted that both Cena & Ambrose will be taking time off after No Mercy 2016. Cena will be taking time off to film the second season of American Grit and will stay off WWE TV for the rest of the year, while Ambrose will take time off to film a WWE Studios movie.
This clearly means that Styles is going to retain his WWE World Championship at the next SmackDown Live exclusive PPV.
Speaking of the WWE World Championship Triple Threat match at No Mercy 2016, this match has been happening at SmackDown’s Live Events. During last night’s Live Event in Wheeling, West Virginia, this match took place for the third time. Below are the results:
