8. Sasha Banks Thought She Was Getting Fired For Not Having A Character, When Will She Get Her Singles Title Rematch?
During a recent interview to promote the upcoming WWE 2K17 video game, former Raw Women’s Champion “The Boss” Sasha Banks talked about how she felt she was going to be fired from WWE developmental 3 years ago for not having a character.
Below is what she said:
“I felt in my heart that I was on the verge of being fired because I didn’t have a character.”
Obviously that didn’t happen, and Sasha went on to win the NXT Women’s Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship. However, Sasha’s reign as the Women’s Champion of Raw didn’t last long as she dropped the belt back to Charlotte in just 27 days at SummerSlam 2016 (as she needed to take time off as she was dealing with injuries).
Sasha got a shot at the Raw Women’s Title at Clash of Champions 2016, but it wasn’t a one-on-one Title match as Bayley was also involved. Charlotte managed to retain her Title on that night. On last night’s Raw, Sasha demanded a one-on-one rematch against Charlotte and the Champion agreed. That match will now take place on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
