Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving The Rock and WrestleMania 40.
• According to ESPN, WWE facilitated The Rock’s WrestleMania 40 training by sending two rings, one to his location in LA and another to his residence in Hawaii.
During his time in LA, he trained with NXT’s Gallus (Mark and Joe Coffey), engaging in simulated matches.
Rock’s training sessions also involved WWE producers Michael “P.S.” Hayes and Bobby Roode, along with referee Chad Patton. To ensure safety, WWE Medical supervised the rehearsals, overseeing the proceedings closely.
The Final Boss said the following about his in-ring training:
“Suplexes, a launch off the top rope, a catch, like bodies hitting bodies. It’s things like that that you have to do and have to prepare for. And you’re getting bruised up, you’re hitting the ropes. It comes back fairly quick. It’s like riding a bike.”
• As of this writing, two special entrances are planned for WrestleMania 40. According to PWInsider, Motionless In White will perform Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley’s theme song LIVE on Night 1.
United States Champion Logan Paul will be promoting his Prime hyrdation brand during his WrestleMania 40 – Night 2 entrance. He will come out on a Prime Truck.
• Michael Cole and Pat McAfee will be the commentators for both nights of WrestleMania. Cole will be calling his 23rd WrestleMania this weekend.
Samantha Irvin will be the ring announcer for both nights.
• Triple H has revealed that the WWE Draft will take place in a month or so.
