The controversy surrounding Omari Palmer, formerly WWE’s Odyssey Jones, has deepened as new allegations of abuse have surfaced. An article by POST Wrestling and Brandon Thurston details accusations from Palmer’s ex-partner that include incidents of physical abuse, supported by a police report filed with the Maitland Police Department on May 23, 2024.

Allegations and Incident Details

The ex-partner alleges that on May 17, 2024, Palmer became enraged upon discovering her text messages to another man. She claims he threw objects and slammed her to the floor twice during the altercation, resulting in bruises on her shoulders and legs. These injuries were documented with photographs submitted alongside the police report. Palmer denied any physical abuse in the report but admitted to throwing objects, stating they were not directed at her.

The reporting officer, Willington Camargo, recommended a battery charge against Palmer, though the case remains under review by the Orange County State Attorney’s Office.

Alleged Cruise Incident

The ex-partner also recounted further abuse during a Caribbean cruise in May 2024. She alleged that Palmer threatened to destroy their phones before the trip and, during the cruise, physically assaulted her, leaving her with a concussion and extensive bruising. She claimed Palmer smashed her against the walls of their cabin and threw her phone overboard.

Palmer has denied these allegations, asserting in his own legal filings that his ex-partner became violent after accusing him of inappropriate interactions with another woman on the cruise.

Legal Actions and WWE’s Response

In September 2024, Palmer was granted an Order of Protection against his ex-partner, citing harassment and threats. However, the ex-partner refuted Palmer’s claims, asserting the protection order was obtained under false pretenses. She also stated that WWE conducted an investigation into the matter and terminated Palmer’s contract in the same month. She expressed gratitude to WWE for treating her allegations seriously.

Ex-Partner’s Perspective

The ex-partner described their relationship, which began in 2018, as tumultuous and characterized by mental anguish caused by Palmer’s behavior. She stated, “No one knows what happens behind closed doors. He would have violent outbursts and increasingly erratic frustration periods and take them out on me.”

Palmer’s Response

Palmer declined to comment for the article. Though he reportedly claimed to have filed a counter-complaint with the Maitland Police Department alleging stalking, POST Wrestling could not verify this claim with the police department.

Later on X, Palmer tweeted the following:

“These are the claims I’m facing they are false and as said prior I will be taking legal action against said party. More information will come during our court hearings.”
