• Old School Wrestling Veteran Passes Away

We are saddened to report that National Wrestling Alliance Veteran Don Kernodle passed away on May 17, 2021 at the age of 71 due to health issues.

Most early 80s Wrestling fans remember the former multiple time Tag Team Champion as a member of the ‘Cobra Corps’ faction, alongside Pvt. Jim Nelson (later known as Boris Zhukov) & Sgt. Slaughter.

However, not many fans remember that he also had a brief stint with the World Wrestling Federation in 1982 & 1983, before returning to Jim Crockett Promotions.

Billy Corgan’s NWA tweeted the following:

“The National Wrestling Alliance is saddened to hear about the passing of multi-time NWA Tag Champion Don Kernodle. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Don”

Team WWF Old School extends its condolences to Don Kernodle’s family, friends and fans.
