Pro Wrestling NOAH began 2025 with a stunning moment as WWE Superstar Omos, alongside Jack Morris, captured the GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Championship at NOAH The New Year.

Returning to the ring after an 8-month hiatus, Omos delivered a dominant performance against Japanese wrestling legends Naomichi Marufuji and Takashi Sugiura.

The unlikely duo defied expectations with strong chemistry, and Omos secured the win by pinning Marufuji. This victory marks Omos’ second career championship and his first outside WWE, signaling a new chapter and potential resurgence for the 7-foot-3 giant.

In an interview backstage after the match, Omos revealed his new nickname: The Super Megaweight. Here’s what he said:

“I said it in the press conference, I am the best living giant. There’s no one alive that’s better than me that can come close to tying my boots.

I hear this one being thrown around, talking about ‘super heavyweights’. I’m not a ‘super heavyweight,’ I’m a ‘super megaweight’. From now on, I am ‘The Super Megaweight’ of this world. Nobody can touch me, nobody can see me.
