On this day in Pro Wrestling history in 2005, ECW One Night Stand 2005 PPV took place. This was supposed to be a one-off show but was adopted as a recurring PPV and eventually led to the birth of WWE’s ECW brand.
During the main event, Bubba Ray Dudley powerbombed Tommy Dreamer through a flaming table. There was a huge brawl after the main event with an appearance from “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
