• On This Day In WWF History (January 8, 2010) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away

On this day in 2010, we lost Old School WWF Veteran Ludvig Borga (Real name: Tony Halme) at the age of 47 due to a self inflicted gunshot wound.

He wrestled for the World Wrestling Federation as an upper mid-carder in 1993 & early 1994 and was eventually going to be pushed to be a main eventer, but then got injured and left the company.

Borga’s biggest accomplishment during his time in the WWF, was ending Tatanka’s 2 year winning streak.

After his Professional Wrestling Career was over, he became an MMA fighter, losing to Randy “The Natural” Couture at ‘UFC 13: The Ultimate Force’ on May 30, 1997, before becoming a politician and even got elected into the Parliament of his home country Finland.

• Old School WWF Tag Team Legend Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Tag Team Legend Bushwhacker Luke Williams (Real name: Brian Wickens) celebrates his birthday today.

After him and his long-time Tag Team Partner Butch Miller were known as an evil Heel team called “The Sheepherders” in the NWA, both joined the World Wrestling Federation in late 1988 as the fan-friendly comedy Tag Team “The Bushwhackers”.

The team wrestled on WWF TV till 1996, but later returned to participate in the WrestleMania X-Seven Gimmick Battle Royal in 2001.

In 2015 they were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by the former flagbearer for The Sheepherders, Johnny Ace (John Laurinaitis).

• Old School WWF Veteran Celebrates Her Birthday

Old School WWF Veteran Bull Nakano (Real name: Keiko Nakano) celebrates her birthday today.

She’s considered a legend in japanese women’s wrestling, but won Championships all around the world.

After having just a few matches on WWF TV in 1986, Bull Nakano joined the full time World Wrestling Federation roster in 1994, where she was managed by famous Women’s Wrestler Luna Vachon.

In November 1994, she defeated Alundra Blayze for the ‘WWF Women’s Championship’ in Tokyo, Japan, but lost it back to her on Monday Night RAW in April 1995.

After wrestling for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1995 and 1996, she retired from professional wrestling and became a professional golfer in 1998.

In 2024 Nakano was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
