• ON THIS DAY IN WWF HISTORY (May 5, 1986) – WWF Prime Time Wrestling

On this day in 1986, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Prime Time Wrestling’.

It featured pre-taped matches, studio interviews & storyline segments on the road to ‘WWF The Big Event’.

If you thought that the modern day PG era “Women’s Revolution” of the current WWE Divas was great, you actually ain’t seen nothing yet.

You have to watch the “Donna Christianello vs. Linda Gonzalez” match, which is as good as a match between two female wrestlers could possibly get, of course minus all the high spot fests & high flying / high risk maneuvers.

The match features 2 very underrated female Wrestlers, who never get mentioned anywhere nowadays.

The card can be found right here:

Terry & Dory Funk Jr. vs. Jeff Gripley & Ivan McDonald

Bobby “The Brain” Heenan vs. Salvatore Bellomo

Interview: Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff

Brian Blair vs. Iron Mike Sharpe (MSG 2/84)

Leaping Lanny Poffo vs. The Gladiator

Interview: Randy “Macho Man” Savage

Donna Christianello vs. Linda Gonzalez
