• One Of The Greatest WWE Legends Of All Time Passed Away 18 Years Ago Today

On this day in 2005, we lost Old School WWF / WWE Legend Eddie Guerrero at the age of 38 due to acute heart failure.

After some time in AAA, NJPW and ECW, Eddie made his debut for Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling in 1995 and later jumped ship to the World Wrestling Federation in early 2000.

He was the son of Old School Lucha Libre Legend Gory Guerrero, the brother of Chavo Guerrero Sr. (Chavo Classic), Mando Guerrero and Hector Guerrero, as well as the uncle of Chavo Guerrero Jr.!

In 2006, Eddie Guerrero was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame by his close personal friends Rey Mysterio & Chris Benoit, and his nephew Chavo.

On this day in 1993, we lost Old School Wrestling Legend Rufus R. Jones (Real name: Carey Lloyd) at the age of 60 due to a heart attack.

Carey was the real-life father of Old School WWF Manager “The Doctor of Style” Slick.

As Rufus R. Jones, he wrestled for several NWA Territories during the 60s, 70s and 80s.

In 2018, he was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of their annual “Legacy Wing” inductions.
