Original Finish For Bad Bunny’s Backlash 2023 Match

Rey Mysterio & Bad Bunny VS Dominik Mysterio & Damian Priest Backlash PPV 4 WWE WrestleFeed App

Tonight at the WWE Backlash 2023 premium live event, Bad Bunny will face Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight.

According to Fightful Select, the original plan was for Bunny to team up with Rey Mysterio to take on Priest & Dominik Mysterio of The Judgment Day in a tag team match.

The finish of this match would’ve been Bunny pinning Dominik to pick up the win for his team.

However, Bunny told WWE Officials that he feels confident in his ability to wrestle a singles match, and they agreed with him. This led to the idea of a tag team match being scrapped.

As we reported before, Priest and Bunny got physical at the Backlash press conference before SmackDown.

Priest shoved Bunny and Bunny fell down. After this, Triple H told Bunny to calm down. Bunny then calmed down and had a face-off with Priest for the photo-op. Bunny then suddenly slapped Priest.

Triple H was forced to step in and hold Priest back from attacking Bunny. You can watch it below:

In the main event of SmackDown, LWO (Rey Mysterio & Zelina Vega) defeated Judgment Day (Dominik Mysterio & SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley) in a Mixed Tag Team Match after Rey pinned Dominik.

After the match, The Judgment Day attacked them, but Bad Bunny & other members of the LWO made the save.

Rey gave Bad Bunny an LWO T-Shirt to end the show.
