Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day, involving The Undertaker and Kazuchika Okada.
• In the infamous main event of WWE Super ShowDown 2019 in Saudi Arabia, The Undertaker defeated Goldberg in a first time ever match.
During an interview on ‘For The Love of Wrestling’, Elias revealed he was scheduled to face The Deadman at this event instead of Goldberg:
“We had plans for a match in Saudi Arabia following that significant moment on Monday Night RAW.
However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the match took a different turn, and ultimately, it became Goldberg. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to have that match.”
On RAW after WrestleMania 35, Elias said the following during his performance:
“Mark my words, the next one to interrupt me is a Deadman.”
Undertaker made his shocking return a few seconds later and laid out Elias with a Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver.

• Tokyo Sports reported that Kazuchika Okada inked a three-year contract with AEW for approximately 2 billion yen, which translates to roughly $13.5 million. This averages out to around $4.5 million annually.
According to the Wrestling Observer, this figure isn’t accurate:
“Okada signed a three-year deal. Tokyo Sports reported Okada signed a three-year deal at 2 billion yen ($13.5 million) over the course of the period of the contract, or an average of $4.5 million annually, but that number is not accurate at all.
The real number is considerably lower, but it was still a very large number that he signed for.”
This is similar to the rumor of Jon Moxley’s AEW salary being reported as $6 million per year back in 2019, which was confirmed to be false.
