Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day, featuring Bobby Lashley and Rampage.
• In the main event of last night’s AEW Dynamite, Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) defeated Shelton Benjamin (with MVP).
After the match, MVP called someone on his phone and the lights went out for half a second and then came back on, and then somebody’s music hit and Bobby Lashley came out to make his AEW debut. Lashley hugged MVP and then attacked Strickland.
Lashley and Benjamin ganged up on Strickland, while MVP choked Nana, who was then laid out with a kick by Benjamin.
Bobby took out Swerve with the Hurt Lock. They beat up the security as well. MVP ended the night by saying: “Guess who’s back in business”.

According to Fightful Select, AEW officials originally planned to have Lashley debut at the WrestleDream PPV and lay out Strickland during that event.
However, due to Bryan Danielson’s AEW World Championship loss and the big ending that was planned for the pay-per-view, they thought Lashley’s debut would get overshadowed, so they postponed his debut.
