Who’s The Current Favorite To Win The WWE Championship Match At SummerSlam 2017 & Walk Out Of The Event As The WWE Champion?

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Shinsuke Nakamura defeated John Cena to become the #1 contender for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam 2017. Nakamura will now face “The Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal for the Title at SummerSlam 2017.

According to betting odds, Nakamura is currently the favorite to win the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam 2017. However, it should be noted that he isn’t expected to leave the PPV as the new WWE Champion. The betting odds also state that Mahal is the favorite to walk out of SummerSlam 2017 still the WWE Champion. This means that Nakamura would win the match either via DQ or Count-Out (as the Title doesn’t change hands in such finishes). It should be noted that the betting odds are correct 95% of the times.

SmackDown Live Stars Set To Join An Elite Group At SummerSlam 2017

WWE Champion Jinder Mahal & Shinsuke Nakamura will join an elite group of Superstars at SummerSlam 2017 when they become the 7th and 8th men in WWF/E history to be involved in a WWE Championship match in their SummerSlam debut. The last man to do it is the current Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar (in 2002 against The Rock).
